The Book Bus Collab

Tucan Travel had partnered up with The Book Bus which is a charity where a bus filled with books would drive to remote areas and provide literacy to communities. Because of The Book Bus places like Zambia, Malawi and Ecuador have had around the figure of 100,000 children experience the joy of reading as well as storytelling as libraries are able to be on the move in their mobile bus's. What I also found really cool Sir Quentin Blake the illustrator for many of Roald Dahl's books is not only a trustee member, but he also personally designs and illustrates artwork all over their website, branding and even for their buses which really make them stand out.

So we released an email to let our newsletter subscribers the great news we were teaming up. I was right to it and illustrated the bus along with gathering some free stock material for the background to create continuous loop so it was to appear that the bus was constantly on the move through Africa. Next, into After Effects I just make a few simple movements jolting the bus and making the wheels bounce, then timing the loop on the back drop and the foreground road/grass a little faster gives bus the real aspect of movement. Quick and fun little project for a great cause in getting that awareness out-there.
